Poetry anthology of RMIT, Volta attempts to present spine, flow and movement.
My inspiration of Volta cover design is from one of Volta’s definition, medieval dance. I utilize the movement of dancing dress during the dancing to explore the whole concept. Through photographing the blue silk satin as background, it demonstrates the movement and flow of dancing dress in the air. Meanwhile, by the observation for the texture of the cloth, the design of the title is to combine the gauffer of the cloth and the typography. It makes the title merge into the background and increase the attraction of the cover design.
For the layout design of the inside page, it arranges the text with large space in whole composition and develop a series of layout based on only align left in order to keeps the consistency with the main concept, shown the flow.
